「石碇千島湖」是翡翠水庫集水區的一部分，九彎十八拐的源頭北勢溪，從高空看起來像是栩栩如生的青龍，山坡上坐落著大大小小的茶園，從北宜公路接塗潭道路往下走，可以從不同角度欣賞千島湖的美景，每次離開樹蔭處，重拾廣闊視野時，都是一次次的驚艷，被我封為北部最喜歡的美景之一！
藍綠色的湖光景色，茶樹一排排依山傍水，眼望這幅如癡如醉的山水畫，配上當地特有韻味重如鐵的鐵觀音與花香四溢的文山包種茶，悠悠然地享受台灣獨具特色悠閒的茶文化。
其實，附近還有兩個祕密景點──「鱷魚島」和「失落的村莊」。
鱷魚島──就和名字一樣，從另一條小路的秘密景點望去，像是隻張牙舞爪的鱷魚，但其實算是人造出來的.....。
失落的村莊──1980年代，北勢溪水位比現在低很多，由於政府決定興建翡翠水庫，有個靠近河谷的小聚落"碧山村"，將會因為水位的提高而被淹沒，故全村約25戶人家被下令遷離，水庫建起來後，村莊即被淹沒在水底下，鱷魚島也是因為水庫才出現的景點。每當乾季，北勢溪水位降低時，就有機會一睹部分被淹沒的碧山村，又稱失落的村莊。

Although it was not really clear if it was called “Thousands islands” or “Thousand lakes”, one thing that is certain is that this place is definitely worth checking out!
Can’t believe that I had never heard about this place, even after living 6 years in Taiwan! We had an amazing half-day trip from Taipei and you should definitely check out this area on those “It’s not raining, but I don’t know what to do” days.
If you have a scooter or car and are heading from Taipei to Yilan, then this place is a must to visit on the way! If you have a scooter or car you can even drive all the way to the viewing spot!
